Law of retribution: Warframe Raid

Survivability ISNT key. Completing mission objectives is.  a) carrying bombs disable your abilities
b) charging bombs drains energy
c) hack. lots and lots of hacking. practice a bunch of bring ciphers.
If all you can do is survive but can't complete objectives eventually they will kill you. There is no progression without completing objectives. Thats 2 hacks per bomb release, 4 more per injector X4. If no one hacks fast enough, if people aren't paying attention to keeping the bomb holder safe, you will constantly lose bombs and constantly be forced to go back to the start. And I'm still talking about mission 1 of 3 in the raid.

So lets talk about how to complete objectives.
1. HACKING. People either bring ciphers or get good at hacking. If you are the only one hacking, it's almost guaranteed to be a failed attempt.

Everything in this raid requires hacking. People don't hack, objectives can't be completed (first part is bomb 4 injectors, second part each hack enables 1 person to stand on a button, third part has no hacking). Then you are essentially playing endless (defense/survival/interception/excavation) against level 80 grineer.

2. ENERGY. This is why you need a trin. Bombs take a fair amount of energy. Only way you can charge up a bomb from 0 to 100 is with a filled pool and probably rank 7 to 10 primed flow (depending on the frame). Frames like valk are VERY bad for this cause I don't think you CAN get enough energy cap to get the bomb from 0 to 100 (and thats fine. but it's another reason not to play valk). Which means unless you have a big cap nova/loki, you will want a trin for energy restores. You need to charge at least 4 bombs. Unless people are tossing down energy restore pads the whole raid, everyone will be short on energy if you are counting on enemy kills to drop enough. Blessing sure doesn't hurt either.

3. COMMUNICATE. Chances are you CAN probably finish the raid even if people are doing their own thing... it just makes it a whole lot harder.
So let's talk about why are loki, trin, vauban and nova top picks for the raid.

Loki: decoy, invis, radial disarm. Decoy - for pushing buttons, attracting attention. Invis - for not getting shot at. Disarm - for not getting your TEAM shot at. You need a loki with max range to spam disarm. Once lost they are stuck with melee weapons until they die. Important because it allows you to disarm all the enemies, CC them then just walk away and complete objectives without being shot at.  Also why you want vauban. But we'll get to that later.

Trinity: I've basically explained why she's important. She's non-negotiable if you aren't a masochist.

Nova: Wormhole, M prime. Wormhole. Time is of the essence. The bomb carrying has 2 phases. Charging and charged. When charging, it drains energy, disables abilities, but when CHARGED (100%), any running, parkour etc will deplete the charge RAPIDLY. Basically once it's charged the only thing you CAN do is walk or risk setting off the bomb. It's important to get your carrier to the injectors FAST. BEFORE they finish charging or any mistake could cost you a bomb (which means heading back to get another, charging, and hacking again).  Mprime: This raid calls for a sloowva. The slower they move, the less they shoot, the more time your CC'ers have to do their thing. The major risk of bringing in a sloowva is that people forget the objective and think easy target practice and kill CC'd enemies (refer to loki's radial disarm as to why this is a bad idea) instead of hacking, or finding a button to stand on. Nova IS optional but it does significantly make things easier.

Vauban: Bastille. Goes hand in hand with loki. Absolutely worthless if people start killing enemies. But he will make your runs so ridiculously fast and easy if people work together. Disarm, decoy, throw bastille(s) at decoy. You can then hack/carry the bomb etc in peace. If people say vauban is useless its also because they kill enemies and make the mission longer (and harder than necessary) and while yes its possible to do the raid without him, I highly recommend you don't. While disarm + mprime's slow does radically improve your chances of success, vauban gives better area control for new spawns because your nova + loki cant be everywhere at once and provides a fairly long term disable with big aoe that can do both the job of nova/loki at the same time by himself. Loki can disarm but you can't stop them meleeing you. Nova you can mprime but you can't stop them shooting you. Vauban you toss a bastille, they float up and come down in 30ish seconds. Can't damage you. Plus you can toss them which helps prepare areas.

Actually pretty damn amazing? Mirage: prism. large aoe blind. again because you can toss it into an un-cc'd area. especially good in part 2a as you can cast from on top of a button.

Part 1? 4 bombs is cake. It's 5 minutes if people are actually working to complete objectives If your team takes longer than 15 minutes just call it off.

The hard part is 2a. The hacking + standing on buttons.

THIS is where all the CC comes in. 1 hack per person in the raid, needs to be completed at one of the 4 "panic buttons" on the corners of the map. Then someone needs to stand ON the corresponding button that matches the picture that shows up on the screen. They need to be able to stand there UNTIL EVERYONE ELSE IS ON A BUTTON AS WELL. 8 people? The first person has to stand there while the other 7 get on. If you don't have enough CC, thats a lifetime. Nightmare mode, the entire time you are standing there you are losing energy as well. Oh and if anyone DIES on a button or gets OFF the button before everyone gets on, everyone on a button gets downed AND WHOLE PUZZLE RESETS. This is the sole reason you want to CC everything as well as bring as FEW people as possible. This dictactes wether a raid completes or fails. If people don't get on buttons, take too long to hack, kill enemies, you are gonna have a bad time. Normal mission is filled with scorpions and bombards. Nightmare adds in maniacs by the dozens. If you want to survive this with your sanity intact, COMMUNICATE. Who gets on which button next. Everyone has to hack until they get on a button. Only things that should be dying are bombards with rockets still equipped (aka not disarmed) and scorpions which will pull people off buttons and cause automatic fails as well as downing your team. The best way is to disarm everything, gather them up into a corner, and have the vauban toss bastilles at them the whole time. Kill anything you risk a bombard or scorpion spawning. The longer you take the more chances someone will need to defend themselves/evamp trinity will leech an enemy to death/someone gets bored and shoots something triggering a new spawn, triggering another chance for someone to be pulled off a pad. The longer people are standing on a pad doing nothing, the more likely they get bored/stop paying attention/stop watching for bombards/scorpions and get pulled/blown off the pad to reset the puzzle. Usually 6 is pretty easy.. 7 makes it actually quite that little bit harder and 8 can be a recipe for disaster with a pub game.
